Lenders, Receivers & Insolvency Practitioners
Drinks assets in lending, receivership and liquidation.
When a lender, receiver or liquidator is exposed to drinks stock, the schedule rarely shows what the asset really is. Celtica establishes what exists, who owns it and what it can be sold as, prices it on a stated evidence basis, and realises it through a documented, confidential process — working alongside the appointed firm, to its timetable and in a format fit for the file.
Who instructs Celtica
Appointed firms and their advisers.
Banks and secured lenders
Stock taken as security, tested before and after default.
Receivers
What has actually been appointed over, and how to realise it.
Liquidators and examiners
Cask portfolios, bonded inventories, brands and equipment.
Accountancy and law firms
Specialist input where drinks assets sit inside a wider mandate.
The first days
What is established early.
- Whether the warehouse recognises title, and who can authorise a sale
- The current stock position against the schedule
- Duty status, and any exposure if stock moves
- What the liquid can and cannot be sold as
- Brands, artwork and dry goods that travel with the stock
- A realistic buyer pool and timetable
Reporting
Written for the file.
Every assessment states its purpose, date, basis, the documents reviewed, assumptions and limitations, and gives a range, a central conclusion and a sensitivity rather than a single unexplained figure. Sale processes are reported with a full account of approaches, offers and outcome.
This is a commercial assessment, not a regulated or audit valuation. Where a formal valuation is required, Celtica will say so.
Capacity and fees
Stated at the outset.
Celtica confirms at the outset whether it is acting as adviser, as agent, or as a potential buyer on its own account. Any commercial interest in an asset is disclosed in writing before work begins.
Scope, evidence requirements, timetable and fees are agreed in writing before instruction, typically combining a fixed element for defined work with a success-related element aligned to realisation.
