Source products or stock

For distilleries, bottlers, distributors and trade buyers.

More than €100 million of drinks-industry assets transacted since 2014.

Across hundreds of transactions and mandates — principally maturing and bulk spirit and bottled stock, alongside warehouse and trade inventories, brands and intellectual property. Celtica acts for PLCs, international and domestic brand owners, distilleries, international distributors, wholesalers and alcohol dealers, and for lenders, receivers and restructuring advisers, worldwide.

Start here

Three ways people come to Celtica.

Route 01

I have an asset to sell or assess

Casks, bulk spirit, bottled and branded stock, warehouse inventories, packaging or a drinks brand. Celtica establishes what is actually there, assesses it on a defensible basis, and takes it to the buyers most likely to pay for it.

Route 02

I am looking to buy or source stock

Casks, bulk Irish whiskey, bottled and branded stock, private-label supply or a bottling programme. Register a defined requirement and Celtica will work it against current and forthcoming availability.

Route 03

I need commercial or route-to-market advice

Valuation and portfolio strategy, disposal planning, product development, bottling coordination, export readiness or international distribution. Advice can be taken on its own or alongside a transaction.

How a mandate runs

Six stages. Nothing skipped.

Every mandate follows the same sequence, so an instructing party always knows what has been established, what has been tested and what remains open.

  1. AssessMandate, constraints, timescale and objectives agreed and recorded before work begins.
  2. VerifyWhat exists, who owns it, what the documents actually evidence, and what the current measurements are.
  3. ValueAn evidence-based commercial assessment, on a stated basis, with its limitations disclosed.
  4. StructureWhole or parcelled, as-is or finished, domestic or international. The route is modelled on net proceeds.
  5. PlaceQualified counterparties approached confidentially and, where possible, placed in competition.
  6. ExecuteNegotiation, completion, duty position, movement, and file-ready reporting.

International reach

The best counterparty is rarely in the same market.

A parcel that is surplus in one market may be in demand in another. A brand with no domestic future may be attractive to an overseas acquirer. Celtica’s role is to reach those counterparties confidentially and, where the mandate allows, place them in competition.

All management and operations are centralised in Ireland. International coverage means buyer relationships, distributor contacts and market access, not offices abroad.

How Celtica works

Independent, director-led and evidence-first.

Celtica operates an asset-light specialist model. Each mandate is led commercially by Celtica and, where required, supported by appropriately appointed independent providers across bonded custody, laboratory analysis, legal and title work, bottling, packaging and logistics.

That keeps commercial judgement, transaction management and client reporting inside one mandate, with a single reporting line, while technical functions stay with the relevant specialists.
