Disposal & Realisation
A recovery, not a clearance.
A general disposal process is built to clear stock efficiently. A specialist process is built to realise what the stock is actually worth. On drinks assets those are rarely the same outcome.
The problem
Drinks assets handled as ordinary stock lose value in four specific ways: the duty position becomes a liability, maturing stock is sold at spot, the best buyer is never reached, and goodwill in brands and distribution agreements evaporates. Each is preventable, but only by someone who recognises the risk before it materialises.
What Celtica does
Celtica manages the disposal process end to end: strategy, buyer identification, confidential marketing, negotiation and completion — structured to maximise net recovery within the office-holder's timescale.
- Asset identification and schedule preparation, reconciled across every document
- Recovery strategy — whole or parcelled, as-is or finished, domestic or international
- Controlled marketing that reaches qualified counterparties without signalling distress
- Buyer qualification before sensitive information is released
- Negotiation, managing competing interest where it exists
- Completion, including bonded movement, duty position, logistics and export
- Transparent, file-ready reporting throughout, and a full written account for the file
Who instructs this work
Liquidators, receivers and examiners. Banks and secured lenders. Corporate recovery teams. Distilleries, wholesalers and warehouse operators. Funds, investment schemes and private owners holding cask or bottled positions.
Celtica acts as an independent adviser and intermediary, working to maximise recovery for the estate. Where a principal transaction is ever contemplated, it is disclosed transparently to the office-holder.
